In July 1978, the first service was held for what would become Arundel Baptist Church. That service was held in Millersville Elementary School and the church name was Millersville Baptist Church. Two years later, we rented what was then St. John's Chapel in Gambrills, and adopted the name of Arundel Baptist Church. After one year we bought the property and before long doubled the size of the building. In the year 2000 we bought the lot and house behind our property for future expansion.

Pastor Robert Myers served as Senior Pastor from our inception until his retirement in 2009.  Pastor Greg Thompson now serves as our Lead Pastor.

The mission of Arundel Baptist Church is to reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to guide all those to whom we minister in their Christian growth. This we seek to accomplish through the many ministries of the church designed to reach all age groups.

Arundel Baptist Church is a fundamental, Bible-believing Baptist Church working with other churches across our nation and around the world who fellowship in the American Baptist Association. The churches in this fellowship of independent missionary Baptist churches, have as their main emphasis missionary outreach, publication of literature, and Christian education. Arundel Baptist Church shares this emphasis. Thus, our goal is to help support the spread of the gospel through missionaries across the world and to help people grow into mature children of God.
